C. Must be done in the Spirit and in Truth (John 4: 23, 24).

D. A dual focus:

1. First and foremost, focused upon God.
2. Secondly, exhortation of brothers and sisters (Hebrews 10: 25).

II. Actions Included In Worship.

A. Singing (Colossians 3: 16).

B. Prayer (1 Timothy 2: 1).

C. Giving (1 Corinthians 16: 2).

D. Instruction In The Word (Acts 20: 7).

E. The Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11: 18, 26).

F. Fellowship (Hebrews 10: 25).

G. Christian Living (Romans 12: 1).

Conclusion:

A. Worship Is Often Misunderstood.

1. It is not for our entertainment.

a. It is for God.
b. It is not for my self-gratification.
c. It is not based upon my needs or wishes.

2. It is not a series of actions to complete.

1. Our humble attempts to give glory and praise due to God.

2. Intended to encourage other brothers and sisters to do the same.

3. An expression of our faith.

4. Extends from our feelings of gratitude and respect for God.
