a. That we might live long (Exodus 20: 12).
b. That we might be well (Deuteronomy 5: 16).

2. It is a commandment.

B. Today, Is A Day Set Aside To Honor Mothers.

Body: Proverbs 31: 10 - 31

I. She Is Virtuous [chayil].

A. A Strong Woman filled with character.

B. A Courageous Woman fiercely protecting her family.

C. A Precious Woman more valuable than gems.

D. A Worthy Woman deserving of praise and respect.

II. She Is Hard Working.

A. She provides for her families' needs.

B. She is always trying to better her family.

C. She prepares ahead for future events.

III. She Is Trustworthy.

A. She is thrifty and wise.

B. She does not bring shame upon the family.

IV. She Fears The Lord.

A. She understands that God is in control.

B. She understands Who gives help, support and strength.

C. She has put her trust in God.

Conclusion:

1. For those who labor long hours caring for their families.
