A FATHER NAMED JAIRUS

1. To those who have experienced the joys and responsibilities of another human life.

2. To those who have helped others by being surrogate fathers (teachers, mentors, etc.).

B. In Praise Of My Father.

1. He is more loving than any other father.

2. He is stronger than other father.

3. He is smarter than any other father.

4. He can fix anything.

C. He Is God!

D. Now Look At Jairus - A Father Much Like My Dad.

I. A Caring Father.

A. Not too busy for family.

B. Was concerned about daughter’s welfare.

II. A Willing Father.

A. Willing to seek any care.

B. Willing to plead and humble himself.

C. Willing to go to Jesus.

III. A Believing Father.

A. Believed in Jesus power to heal.

B. Believed in Jesus power to raise the dead.

IV. Fathers Today.

A. We must care about our family.

1. Not caught up in providing things for them.
2. Most important to provide love, instruction, discipline.

B. We must be willing to make sacrifices for our family.

1. Willing to risk our own future for theirs.
2. Willing to give up time for ourselves.
(There is no quality time without any quantity time!)

C. We must believe.

1. Our greatest inheritance to pass on is our faith.
2. We must show our faith, as well as, say it.
