Body: Luke 3:7-14

I. People Who Want To Do God's Will.

A. Multitudes came to be baptized.

B. John confronted them.

1. Why do you want to be baptized?
2. Who warned you about God's wrath upon sinfulness?
3. Baptism requires a repentant heart which produces fruit'

C. "What shall we do?"

1. This question is asked many times (Luke 12: 16; John 6: 27; Acts 2: 37; Acts 9: 6; Acts 10: 6; Acts 16: 30).
2. In each instance they are told what to do.

II. Fruits Worthy Of Repentance.

A. Be Giving.

1. Do you not have enough storage space? What do you do?
a. Build more storage space? (Luke 12: 16-21)
b. Give to those who do not have? (Matthew 19: 16 - 21).
2. Do you have too many clothes?
3. Do you have plenty of food?
4. Do you have time to give to others?
5. "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets" (Matthew 7- 12)

B. Be Fair.

1. "Finders keepers?" Does it belong to someone else?
2. "Ignorance is bliss?" Whose bliss?
3. "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets" (Matthew 7: 12).

C. Be Considerate.

1. Do not intimidate (bully, threaten, browbeat).
2. Do not falsely accuse (lie, implicate, incriminate, charge).
3. Be content (happy, satisfied, gratified) with your wages.
4. "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets" (Matthew 7:12).
