Body: Matthew 11: 25 - 30

I. Eager To Learn.

A. Jesus gives thanks to God.

B. He acknowledges God's wisdom.

1. God has hidden the truth from the wise and prudent.

a. Cannot see the trees for the forest.

b. The truth is too absurd (1 Corinthians 1: 22 - 24).

2. God has sent the truth to the simple.

a. It is not difficult to understand.

b. It is not difficult to know what to do.

II. Knowledge Of God.

A. Jesus has received all things.

B. Knowledge of each other.

1. The One who really knows Jesus is God.

2. The One who really knows God is Jesus.

3. Jesus reveals the Father to those He wills.

III. Rest For Your Soul.

A. Jesus cares about you.

1. He wants you to come to Him.

2. He wants to make your life easier.

3. He wants to give you rest.

B. Following Jesus involves effort.

1. There is a burden, but it is easy and light

a. No need to carry sin, guilt, vengeance, etc.

b. No need to carry responsibility for results.

2. You must make a choice..

Conclusion:

A. Jesus Loves You.

1. He knows the truth.

2. He wants to reveal God to you.

3. He wants to ease your burdens.
