GOD STILL CREATES

Introduction:

A. Genesis 1:1, 2 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form , and void ; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters."

B. God Is Still Creating.

Body: Genesis 1: 26 - 28

I. We Have Been Made Anew (Ephesians 4: 20 - 24).

A. The truth is in Jesus.

B. We have put off the old and corrupt.

C. We have put on the new.

1. Created in true righteousness.
2. Created in holiness.

II. We Have Been Made In His Image (Colossians 3: 9 - 11).

A. We have put off the old.

B. We have put on the new.

1. Renewed in knowledge.
2. Renewed according to God's image.
3. Renewed according to the One Who created.

III. We Have Been Made For Good Works (Ephesians 2: 10).

A. We are His workmanship.

1. Created in Christ Jesus.
2. Created for good works.
3. The works which God created beforehand.

B. We should walk in good works.

Conclusion:

A. Our God Still Creates.

1. Something out of nothing ("people who were not a people")

2. A useful instrument from a lump of clay.

3. Good from evil intentions and actions.

B. God Is Still Shaping the Formless, Filling the Void, Enlightening the Darkened.
