A. It is an unselfish love.

B. It treats others the way Christ would.

C. It is lasting.

II. Romans 5: 6 - 9

A. We were weak.

1. Did not have the strength to overcome sin.

2. Did not have the strength to resist sin.

3. Did not have the strength to protect ourselves.

B. Christ died for His enemies.

1. We were without God (ungodly).

2. We were currently sinners.

3. We were to incur God's wrath.

C. God demonstrated His love for us.

1. Sent His son.

2. Provided the sacrifice we needed.

3. Gave us hope and what we needed.

III. John 15: 9 - 17

A. Abide in Christ's love by keeping His commandments.

B. This is the key to being joy full.

C. Christ's command is to love one another.

1. Love as He has loved.

2. More important than "living."

D. Christ's friends keep His commandments.
