Introduction:

1. John came as a witness for the Light.

2. This is the True Light.

3. This Light gives light to all men.

B. What About The Light Within You?

Body:

I. Luke 11: 33 - 36

A. Do not hide a light! It is meant to be seen.

B. Your eye is the lamp of your body.

1. If it looks upon good, you are filled with light.
2. If it looks upon evil, you are filled with darkness.

C. "Be careful little eye what you see."

II. Matthew 5: 14 - 16

A. We are meant to be seen, not hidden.

B. "Let" your light shine, not "make!"

C. Good works bring God praise.

1. What is the purpose of our works?
2. Who gets the praise?

III. Ephesians 5: 8 - 13

A. We have changed from darkness into light.

1. The definition of darkness is the absence of light.
2. Light and darkness cannot exist together.

B. We need to live like we are changed.

1. We are transformed (Romans 12: 2).
2. The difference in our lives is visible.

C. Find out what is acceptable to God.

1. Are we more concerned with what the neighbors will think?
2. Who are we trying to please?

Conclusion:

A. "You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness" (1 Thessalonians 5: 5).

B. "...that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world" (Philippians 2:15).
