Introduction:

A. Let Your Light Shine.

1. Matthew 5: 14 - 16.

B. Our Light Is Meant To Be Seen.

1. By those in the world.

2. By our brothers and sisters.

3. By God.

C. How Do We Shine Our Light?

Body: Matthew 5: 14 - 16

I. Shine In Apparel.

A. We are to wear modest apparel.

1. 1 Timothy 2: 9, 10.
2. 1 Peter 3: 3, 4.

B. Modest is defined as being orderly and of good behavior.

C. Our clothing should say we are Christians.

II. Shine In Speech.

A. Our speech is to always be with grace (Colossians 4: 6).

B. Our speech is to be edifying (Ephesians 4: 29).

C. Our speech is to not include silly talk, as well as, vulgar or lewd joking (Ephesians 5: 4).

III. Shine In Treatment Of Others.

A. The way we treat those against us

1. Those against us (Matthew 5: 44).
2. Those whom we consider to be friends (Ephesians 6: 12).

B. The way we treat one another (Ephesians 4: 32).

C. The way we treat God (1 Corinthians 8: 6).

1. Do we put Him first in our lives?
2. Do we obey what He says in how we live and worship.

B. Does Your Life Glorify God Or Yourself?
