I. A Field planted.

A. A lot of work.

1. The field had been prepared.
2. The seed had been planted.
3. The workers rested.

B. An enemies’ revenge.

1. Comes at night.
2. Sows weeds.

II. What to do?

A. Get rid of the weeds?

1. Pull them out now.
2. Destroy them.

B. Let them remain?

1. Let them grow to maturity.
2. Do not want to destroy good with the bad.
3. Gather them at the harvest and destroy them.

III. Jesus’ Explanation (Matthew 13: 37 - 43).

A. One Sowing is Jesus/Enemy is Satan.

B. Wheat are sons of the kingdom/Weeds are sons of the devil.

C. Harvest is the end/Reapers are the angels.

D. At The End.

1. Wheat and weeds will be easy to identify.
2. Weeds will be destroyed in hell.
a. They offend.
b. They practice lawlessness.
3. Wheat will shine forth.
