Introduction:

1. Disciples have seen control over natural.

2. People trying to force Him to be King was in John 6

B. Jesus sends the Disciples on.

I. As His Custom Was.

A. Sends the disciples on.

B. He goes to pray.

1. He has to be tired.
2. Taught all day.

C. Make it to the middle (about 3 or 4 miles [John 6: 19]).

D. Jesus sees them.

1. It is at night.
2. The wind and waves are rough (Matt. 14: 24).
3. Jesus is on a mountain.

II. Jesus Goes to Them.

A. Why?

1. Was He checking on their condition?
Remember, they had come back from missionary work, hungry, tired.
2. Was He planning to show another sign?

B. They see Him and are afraid.

C. Peter experiences Jesus’ power (Matt. 14).

D. They suddenly arrive (John 6).

III. Their Response.

A. They are no longer afraid.

B. Everything becomes all right. [Key to Mark 4?]

C. They were amazed and marveled.

D. An Immature Response?

1. Did not understand the loaves?
2. Their hearts were hardened?
3. Could not believe Jesus was able to do this!?

Conclusion:

A. What About Us?

1. Do we see how things turn out right when we turn to Jesus?

2. Do we believe Jesus can handle anything?

3. Why can we not turn over our lives to Him?
