I. The Purpose Of A Lamp.

A. Must be lit to be useful.

1. Even old or pretty lamp of no use in the dark.
2. Without function is without purpose.
3. We are "without purpose" when we are not serving.

B. Must be uncovered to be useful.

1. To cover a lamp would be dangerous.
2. It wakes the work being down worthless.
3. We are "worthless" when we are working selfishly.

C. Must be "set up" to be most useful.

1. Most useful is set up on a pedestal.
2. We must risk "being in the limelight" to be most useful.

II. Something Hidden?

A. The secret will be revealed.

B. The hidden will be made known.

III. Take Heed.

A. What you hear.

1. The hearing will hear more.
2. We must desire to hear God's word.

B. What you have.

1. The having will have more.
2. We must desire to nurture and increase Christ like characteristics.
