LOVE GOD'S WAY

Introduction:

A. The Difficulties of Christianity.

3. We must hear what God has to say.

4. We must be willing to do God's will even when it is contrary to human wisdom (common sense?).

B. Jesus Teaches Us About "Tough Love."

I. Love Those Who Are Challenging To Love.

A. Love your enemies.

1. Do good to those who hate you.
2. Bless (God's favor upon) those who curse you.
3. Pray for (not about) those who abuse you.
4. Do not strike back.
5. Give to all whether asked or forced.

B. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

II. Why Love?

A. Do You Want Your Account To Receive Credit?

1. It's human nature to love those we like.
2. It's simple to do good to those who do us good.
3. It's easy to give to those you expect to get back from.

B. The Call of Being Different.

1. Love your enemies.
2. Do good [to all].
3. Give [not expecting to get back].

C. The Return on Investment?

l. A great reward.
2. God will claim you as his child.
3. You will be like God.

Conclusion:

A. We Face Many Decisions In Life.

1. Some are easy and "come natural."

2. Others are difficult.

a. Not enough of a difference to matter.
b. Do not know which will produce desirable outcome.
c. Goes against human wisdom.
