2. Peter's mother-in-law healed of fever.

3. Provision of fish to four fishermen.

4. Cleansing of a leper.

5. Healing of a paralytic.

B. Now We Are Seeing "Conflicts" Between Jesus and Leaders.

Body: Luke 5: 27 - 32

I. The Next Disciple.

A. His name is Levi - a.k.a. Matthew.

B. May have been of priestly lineage.

C. He is just a collector - not even as "high up" as Zacchaeus.

II. Jesus' Call.

A. Simply says "Follow Me."

1. A major choice.
2. Complete change of lifestyle - from despised to....
3. Reliance and trust in Jesus.

B. Matthew gets up.

1. Jesus call involves making changes.
2. Jesus call involves leaving what we know.

C. Matthew celebrates.

1. Honors Jesus with a great feast.
2. Many of the "rejected sinners" present.

III. The Leader's Question.

A. Why do they "rub shoulders" with the unclean?

B. The healthy do not need a doctor.

1. Those who have no illness?
2. Those who do not know they are ill?

C. Jesus here to call sinners back to God.

Conclusion:

A. How Much Are We Willing To Commit To Jesus?

1. Are we willing to get up and follow Him?

2. Are we willing to make drastic changes?

3. Are we willing to be numbered with the undesirable?
