2. To describe their current state.

3. To tell them what is in store for them.

I. Warning!

A. Multitudes are coming to see, hear and be baptized.

B. Nest of Snakes!?

1. A "seething" mass of people.

2. Can accomplish good or evil.

(Snakes keep rodent population down, they can kill innocent people and children).

C. Who warned?

1. John did!

2. The people told one another about John's messages.

3. God touched their receptive hearts.

II. The Working of Repentance.

A. Repentance leads to the bearing of good fruit (v. 9).

B. Who your daddy is makes no difference.

1. If you are faithless, your father=s faith will not save.

2. God is able to make stones living.

a. Shows the power of God.

b. He does it with hard hearts, also.

C. The wrong fruit makes you the wrong tree.

III. The Fruit Born.

A. Common People.

1. Give a coat to those who do not have one.

2. Give food to those who do not have food.

3. Whatever extra God has blessed you with, share it!

B. Business People.

1. Be content with your wages.

2. Be honest in your work.

C. Military People.

1. Do not falsely treat others.

2. Do not lie about others.

3. Be content with your pay.

4. Do not abuse your position.
