B. The Reason For The Birth.

Body: Luke 2: 8 - 14

I. For All People.

A. God once again walked on this earth (Genesis 3: 8).

B. The Birth was for everyone, not just an exclusive few.

1. Jesus did not come to just save the Jews from Rome.
2. Jesus came to seek and to save all who were lost.
3. Jesus came to end the greatest slavery.

II. The Savior Has Come.

A. He has saved us from this life.

B. He has saved us from eternal death.

C. He has saved us from ourselves.

1. We tend to self destruct ("There is a way which seems right…").
2. He has shown us the right way.
3. He has made it possible for us to return to the right way.

III. Glory, Peace, And Goodwill.

A. God is glorious.

1. He is above petty revenge.
2. No cost is too much for Him.
3. No situation is too difficult to fix.

B. We can have peace.

1. The peace of helping others without expectations.
2. The peace of knowing everything will turn out all right.
3. The peace of trusting God’s control.

C. God has been graceful.

1. He has given us life and many wonderful things.
2. He has given us salvation.

Conclusion:

A. This Holiday And The Coming Years.

1. Give thanks to God for His many wonderful blessings.

2. Praise God for His gloriousness.

3. Live in peace with God and men.

4. Strive to spread God’s good will to all.
