THEN THE DAWN COMES

Introduction:

A. Friday Is Here...

1. Evil takes on good.

2. Satan implements the death of God Incarnate.

3. Man kills the Son of God.

B. But, Sunday's Coming!

Body: Luke 24: 1 - 12

I. The Women Return To The Tomb.

A. Very early in the morning (just after sun up).

B. The "women from Galilee" and certain others.

C. Carried prepared spices.

D. Found the tomb open, so they went in.

II. Jesus Is Not There.

A. Did not find the body of Jesus.

B. Stood perplexed.

C. Two men appeared.

1. Why did they seek One Who was alive in the grave?

2. He is not here, He is risen!

3. Did they not remember His promise to rise the third day?

4. They then remember!

III. The Women Tell The Others.

A. They return and tell the others.

1. We went to the grave and Jesus was not there.

2. Two men in shiny clothes told us Jesus was alive.

B. Too far fetched to believe.

1. Too emotional and strange a story?

2. They went to the wrong location?

3. They were hallucinating?

C. Peter goes to see for himself.

1. He runs to the graveyard.

2. He stoops down.

3. He sees the funeral clothes.

4. He marvels.

Conclusion:

A. He Is Not Here, He Is Risen!

1. Satan does not have the power of life or death.

2. Satan is on the losing team.
