B. Have You Ever Dealt With Someone You Knew Would Never Be Able To Understand?

Body: Luke 22: 63 - 71

I. Shameful Treatment (63 - 65).

A. What Jesus endured.

1. He was mocked (jeered at, derided).
2. He was beaten (to scourge or thrash).
3. He was blindfolded and struck (repeatedly with a stick).
4. He was blasphemed (to be slandered or spoken evil of).

B. If only they knew.

1. He was the Son of God.
2. He had the power to destroy them.
3. He was what they were looking for (deliverance).

II. A "Kangaroo" Trial (66 - 71).

A. The start of the day.

1. When it is day break.
2. The elders, chief priests, and scribes come together.
3. A council is held.

B. Jesus understands.

1. Knows the verdict has already been determined.
2. Knows He cannot say anything to make them believe.
3. Knows they will not answer Him.
4. Knows they will not let Him go.

C. Verdict attained.

1. Will sit on the right hand of God's power.
2. They said He was the Son of God.
3. No more proof needed.

Conclusion:

A. Jesus Knows.

B. Jesus Cares.
