2. Wishing "bad luck" on someone during Christmas.

3. Harboring ill will toward someone at church.

B. Was Judas Any More Wrong?

I. The Feast Of Unleavened Bread.

A. Instituted in Exodus 12: 14 - 20.

1. To be during the first month of the Jewish year.
2. The 14th of the month was the Passover feast.
3. Was to be kept until the 21st of the month.

B. Kept throughout the generations.

1. As one of the three most important feasts.
2. As a memorial to what God had done.

II. The Lure Of Evil.

A. Desire to kill Jesus.

1. It is in the hearts of the chief priests and scribes to kill Jesus.
2. On a holiday remembering God's deliverance from death.
3. Desire to do secretly, out of sight of people.

B. No safe haven.

1. Even being with Jesus is no refuge from evil.
2. Judas allowed Satan into his heart.

C. Plotting to betray Jesus.

III. A Covert Operation.

A. Agreement to pay.

1. They were glad to have a traitor.
2. They were willing to pay for His murder.

B. An opportune time.

1. Judas focused upon betraying Jesus.
2. Looking for an opportunity to do evil.

Conclusion:

A. What Are We Looking For?

1. The opportunity to "get away with something" and not be caught?

2. The opportunity to do good?

B. Are We More Like Jesus Or More Like Judas?
