FAITHFUL DUTY

Introduction:

A. Our Attitude Is Important!

1. Are you taking credit for God's work or your own?

2. Who is the one in charge and making choices?

3. What value and function do we have?

B. What Part Does Faith Play In All Of This?

Body: Luke 17: 1 - 10

I. Offenses Inevitable.

A. We must expect hardship and difficulty.

B. There will be occasions to fall or stumbling blocks placed in our way.

C. The guilt of the offender tremendous.

D. Everyone will feel sorry sometime (now or later).

II. Be Willing To Forgive.

A. Be careful.

B. Forgive a sinful brother.

C. Forgive numerous times if necessary.

III. Faith As A Mustard Seed.

A. Forgiveness and faith are intertwined.

B. The mustard seed is small but produces much.

C. Faith makes the impossible possible.

IV. Obedient Servants.

A. What should we liken our selves to?

B. A servant works all day.

C. Comes in and still has to serve the master's meal.

D. Has not done extra, only done what is required.

E. No matter how obedient we are, we have only done what we were commanded to do.

Conclusion:

A. How Do You View Yourself As A Christian?

1. Overworked and underpaid (Eternity is heaven is underpayment?)?

2. So much to do and so few are helping?

3. Why don't others put forth as much effort?

B. God says, "My grace is sufficient!"
