Body: Luke 13: 22 - 30

I. The Narrow Gate.

A. Two Different Ways.

1. Broad way = many travel, easy to find.
2. Narrow way = few are allowed, entrance guarded by a gate.

B. Strive.

1. To agonize, work hard for.
2. Illustration of athletes competing to win a prize.

C. Strait.

1. Narrow, close and confined.
2. Private entrance, few known and travel.

II. The House Entrance.

A. Door is shut.

B. Knock at the door.

C. Knowing brings entrance.

1. Must know the Master of the house.
2. Must be known by the Master of the house.
(I never knew you [cf. John 9: 30 - 33])

III. The Kingdom Of God.

A. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob included.

B. All the prophets.

C. Those from the East, West, North and South.

D. They will be seated from their labors.

IV. Judgment Surprises?

A. Many who think they are included, but not?

B. Many who were thought not to be included who are?

C. Some who had been written off who will have repented?

Conclusion:

A. Are You Sure?

1. Just because you know Him does not mean He knows you!

2. Just because you are working does not mean you are working for Him?
