B. What Is Belief?

1. Being persuaded that something is true.

2. Having been presented with information, you are convinced that it is factual.

Body: John 20: 30, 31

I. Who Was Jesus? (John 1: 1 - 4)

A. The Word - with God and was God.

B. The Source of Creative Activity.

C. Life found in Him.

D. He became flesh (1: 14).

II. What Did Jesus Do?

A. He did good works (John 10: 32 - 38).

B. He performed many signs (John 11: 45 - 52; 12: 37).

C. He taught the truth (John 12: 44 - 50).

III. An Unthinkable Outcome!

A. He was killed!! (John 18 & 19)

1. Betrayed by a friend.
2. Abandoned by the others.
3. Endures a "kangaroo trial," persecution and beating.
4. Crucified on a cross.

B. He arose from the grave! (John 20:1 - 18)

IV. Could Only Be From God.

A. Who could conceive of such a plan?

1. The sending of His Son.
2. The willingness to let Him suffer wrong.
3. The strength to allow evil to win the battle in order for good to win the war.

B. Who would be willing to carry out such a plan?

Conclusion:

A. Belief Brings Life Now And Forever!

And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name” (John 20: 30 - 31 NKJV).
