I. Old Covenant Was Not Perfect.
A. First covenant was not
faultless.
B. Need arose for a new covenant.
C. The Israelites disregarded the
first covenant.
II. Today’s Covenant Perfected.
A. The New Covenant.
1. God’s law is in our minds.
2. God’s law is in our hearts.
3. He is our God.
4. We are His people.
B. The New Way of Life.
1. Teaching the knowledge of the
Lord not necessary.
2. God will be merciful to
unrighteousness.
3. God will not remember sins or
lawless deeds.
III. Resulting Outcome.
A. The Old Covenant is obsolete.
B. The Old Covenant is growing
old.
C. The Old Covenant has vanished
away.
Conclusion:
A. The Old Covenant.
1. An Imperfect, Temporary Tool.
2. It served its purpose and now
is obsolete.
3. Has been replaced by a better,
perfected covenant.
