1. The way by which we know the words of life.

2. The guidebook for good living.

3. The instruction manual for how and why to live.

B. Do We Treat The Bible As An Important Book?

I. Keep Watch.

A. Must remain on guard.

1. We must not fall asleep.
2. We must not become too confident.
3. We must not become too involved in worldly activities.

B. Must be careful to obey.

1. Obedience is a requirement of love (John 14: 15, 21, 23).
2. Obedience requires careful attention.

II. The Word Of God.

A. Two Representatives.

1. The Holy Scriptures.
2. The Son of God.

B. It's alive!

1. It is not a dead manuscript that has no meaning.
2. It reaches out and touches each one.

C. It's powerful.

1. It is active and to the point.
2. It is effective and able to determine the finest points.
3. It reaches to the innermost thoughts and intents.

III. A Knowing God.

A. Sees all.

1. He sees every creature.
2. He sees everything done.

B. We must give account.
