A FAITHFUL SON

Introduction:

A. We Have Many Great Examples Of Faith.

1. Abraham - his faith accounted for righteousness.

2. Moses - he was faithful in all God's house.

3. David - he had a heart like God's.

B. The Faith Of Jesus Was Greater Than All.

Body: Hebrews 3: 1 - 11

I. Christ Jesus.

A. The Apostle of our confession.

1. One Who was sent (commissioned chosen) to deliver a message.
2. The Forerunner of our faith.

B. The High Priest of our confession.

1. One who approaches God for the sins of others.
2. One who performs sacrifice to cleanse others.

II. A Faithful Servant.

A. Moses was faithful in the midst of unfaithfulness.

1. He never strayed from belief in God.
2. He never doubted or turned from God.

B. Moses was only a servant.

1. He was only a part of the house.
2. His faithfulness resulted from duty.

III. A Faithful Son.

A. Jesus was faithful in the midst of unfaithfulness.

1. He believed God's way was the only way.
2. He was obedient in all things.

B. Jesus was the Son.

1. He is the One Who has built the house.
2. His faithfulness resulted from committed love.

IV. Be Faithful.

A. Hear what God says.

1. Hardened their hearts.
2. They tested and tried God.
3. They did not know His ways.

B. Do not rebel.

A. Are You Being Faithful To Christ, And Therefore God?

B. Are You A Good Or Slothful Servant?
