I. Divine Warning.

A. Warned of punishment of ungodly (Genesis 6: 13).

B. Warned how to save himself and family (Genesis 6: 17 – 21).

C. Warned to prepare (Genesis 6: 14 – 16).

II. Godly Fear.

A. Fear of God’s power.

B. Understanding He keeps His promises.

C. Fear which moved him to action.

1. It was not a paralyzing fear.
2. It was a motivating fear.

III. Preacher Of Righteousness (2 Peter 2: 5).

A. He obeyed God.

1. God gave him commanded him to action.
2. He obeyed God’s commands.

B. He acted righteously.

1. Grace was bestowed upon him because of his previous righteousness (Genesis 6: 8, 9).
2. His righteous actions condemned the world of that day.
3. His righteous actions saved mankind from "extinction."
4. His example preaches the rewards of righteousness.

C. Became an heir of righteousness.

1. He lived righteously.
2. He obeyed with Godly fear.
3. He inherited God’s saving righteousness through faith.

Conclusion:

A. We Have Been Warned!

1. God will punish the ungodly.

2. He requires us to obey Him through faith and live righteously.

3. He has told us to prepare and how to prepare.
