A. The providence of God.

1. Hated by his brothers (Genesis 37: 4).
2. Sold into slavery (Genesis 37: 23 – 28).
3. Imprisoned by false witness (Genesis 39: 16 – 20).
4. Exalted by God.

B. The character of Joseph.

1. He did not hate in return.
2. He continued to do his best.
3. He refused to sin in spite of opportunity.
4. He did not seek revenge.
5. He trusted God’s will was being done.

II. The Bedside Oath (Genesis 50: 22 – 26).

A. God will visit.

B. God will deliver.

C. Return his bones to Canaan.

III. The Promise Kept.

A. 430 years later (Exodus 12: 40, 41).

B. Moses carried out Joseph’s bones (Exodus 13: 19).

Conclusion:
