A. By Faith…

1. We please God.

a. In our thoughts.
b. In our worship.
c. In our actions.

2. By faith God is not ashamed to claim us.

B. Where Does Your Hope Lie?

Body: Hebrews 11: 13 - 16

I. The Promises Of God.

A. Died in faith.

B. Seen, but not received.

1. They could see what they had not received.
2. Able to see beyond the present.

C. Assured.

1. That God kept His promises.
2. That they were worthwhile.
3. That they were worth living for.

D. Confessed.

1. They were strangers on earth.
2. They were pilgrims traveling home.

II. From Another Land.

A. declared plainly their citizenship.

1. Told others of their belief and trust in God.
2. Lived lives which exemplified their belief.

B. Sought a true home.

1. One without imperfections.
2. One without troubles, difficulties, and worries.

III. A Better Desire.

A. A country to desire.

1. The land to which we are going is better.
2. The land to which we are going is heavenly.

B. A proud God.

1. The faithful do not shame God.
2. Those who see beyond here do not shame God.
3. Those longing to be with God do not shame Him.

C. God has prepared them a "home sweet home!"
