PERFECTED FOREVER

Introduction:

A.    If You Had A Choice...

1.    To shave once in a lifetime or shave every day,

2.    To take medicine once in a lifetime or every day,

B.    Which Would You Choose?

Body:    Hebrews 10: 11 - 18

I.    One Sacrifice.

A.    The other priests.

1.    Stand ministering daily.
2.    Make offerings repeatedly.
3.    Sacrifices never take away sins.

B.    Jesus.

1.    Offered one sacrifice.
2.    Sat down at the right hand of God.
3.    Waits for enemies' defeat.

C.    We are perfected.

1.    By one offering.
2.    Forever.
3.    All are being sanctified (purified, consecrated, made holy).

II.    Witness Of The Holy Spirit.

A.    A covenant made.

1.    Laws into hearts.
2.    Laws written in minds.

B.    No more memory.

1.    Sins will not be remembered.
2.    Lawless deeds will not be remembered.

III.    Remission.

A.    Of these (sins and lawless deeds).

1.    Freedom, deliverance from shackles of sin.
2.    Pardon, forgiveness from suffering consequences.

B.    No need for any more sin offerings.

Conclusion:

A.    Christ's Accomplishments.

1.    He has completed His sacrificial work.

2.    His sacrifice was perfect.

3.    His sacrifice works forever.

4.    His sacrifice takes away sin.
