ONCE FOR ALL

Introduction:

A. There Is No One And No Thing Like Jesus.

1.    No one has accomplished what He has accomplished.

2.    No one has a name more exalted and praiseworthy.

B.    Do We Appreciate What Jesus Has Done?

Body: Hebrews 10: 1 - 10

I.    Insufficiency Of The Law.

A.    Was only a shadow of the good to come.

B.    Was unable to make any perfect.

C.    The sacrifices had to be offered yearly (daily and often as in v.11).

D.    Sins were not taken away.

II.    A Reminder.

A.    The old will.

1.    Sacrifices of bulls and goats.

2.    Reminder of sinfulness.

B.    The new will.

1.    The Lord's Supper (Sacrifice of Christ).
2.    A reminder of sinlessness.
a.    Christ did not die to bring us sins.
b.    Christ did not die to remind us of our sins.
c.    Christ died to take away our sins!

III.    Sufficiency Of Christ

A.    He came with a perfect body.

B.    He came to do God's will.

C.    He completed the first will and established the second.

D.    He brought us sanctification (purified, consecrated, made holy).

E.    He accomplished it once for all.

Conclusion:

A.    Our Lord And Savior.

1.    He has established God's perfect will.

2.    He has made it possible for us to be accepted by God.

3.    He gave His all for us.
