STAND THEREFORE

Introduction:

A. Do You Ever Feel Like You Are Fighting Against The Wind?

B. Do You Feel Like You Are In An Unending Battle?

C. You Are! What Now?

Body: Ephesians 6: 10 - 13

I. We Wrestle.

A. The Greek word.

1. To wrestle - harkens to the Olympic games.
2. To combat, battle - harkens to warfare.
3. We are in a win or lose situation.

B. Our Opponent.

1. Not flesh and blood.
2. Against spiritual, "unseen" forces.

II. Be Strong.

A. In the Lord.

1. To be strong and courageous in the fight for His glory.
2. To rely and trust upon His strength and power.

B. In the power of the Lord’s might.

1. Might does not make right…right makes might!
2. We must have His strength to withstand troubles and difficulties.
3. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation (Romans 1: 16).

III. Stand Your Ground.

A. Prepare yourself.

1. Put on all of God’s armor.
2. Take up all of God’s armor.
3. Any other armor will not protect us - (The Emperor’s New Clothes).

B. Prepare your mind.

1. We must remember - we are at war.
2. We must prepare ourselves to never give up.

Conclusion:

A. There Is Only One Way To Survive.

1. We either choose God’s way and make it.

2. Or, we choose another way and fail.
