B. When You Study The Bible, How Do You Respond To What You Read?

Body: Ephesians 4: 25 - 32

I. Be Truthful.

A. Put away lying.

B. We are part of one another.

II. Anger Without Wrath.

A. Do not sin (Psalm 4: 4).

B. Do not let the sun go down [end of Jewish day] (Psalm 37: 8).

C. Do not give an opportunity to Satan.

III. Earn An Honest Living.

A. Do good work.

B. Look toward being able to help others.

IV. Edify.

A. No worthless or bad speech.

B. Impart grace (acceptable, favor, benefit) to listeners.

V. The Holy Spirit.

A. Do not grieve (distress, make sorry) the Spirit.

B. He is your seal for redemption.

VI. Differing Characteristics.

A. Put away selfishly motivated emotions and actions.

B. Hold close selflessly motivated emotions and actions.

Conclusion:

A. We Have To Choose.

1. We can choose to listen to God's Word and obey it.

2. We can choose to make excuses for why we think we cannot obey it.
