Introduction:

A. There, But For The Grace Of God…

1. I could be down and out.

2. I could be in a war torn country.

3. I could be dead or at death’s edge.

B. What Has God’s Grace Done?

Body: Ephesians 2: 8 - 13

I. We Are Saved.

A. By God’s grace.

B. Through faith.

C. It is a gift.

II. We Are God’s Workmanship.

A. We are created in Christ Jesus.

1. We have been born again (John 3).

2. We have been made in Christ’s image.

3. We have been created again by God (physical & spiritual).

B. We are created to do good works.

1. Christ came and did good.

2. Because of God’s goodness, we have been saved.

3. Our purpose/task is to do good.

C. We are prepared to walk in them.

1. God "foreordained" that we are to do good.

2. Our lives are to be focused on doing good.

III. We Are Brought Near.

A. Those Out Of Christ.

1. Are aliens and strangers.

2. Have no hope.

3. Are without God.

B. Those In Christ.

1. Have been brought near.

2. Have hope.

3. Have God.

Conclusion:

A. Have You Been To Jesus?

1. Have you accepted the gift of salvation from God?

2. Have you let God create you for good works in Christ?

3. Have you been brought near by Christ’s blood?

B. Are You In Him?
