A CHEERFUL GIVER

Introduction:

1. Shared possessions with one another.

2. Took care of one another's needs.

B. Acts 4: 32 - 37

1. Unmistakable Selflessness.

2. All needs were taken care of.

Body: 2 Corinthians 9: 6 - 13

I. We Are All Sowers.

A. Reap what is sown.

1. Sparingly reaps little, bountifully reaps much.
2. We reap the characteristics of what is sown.
(Physical, emotional, mental [positive or negative], spiritual.

B. God is THE supplier.

1. He gives us what we have to give.
2. HE is able to give us much more.
3. He has given us an abundance to give liberally.

II. The Work Of Giving.

A. Purpose in our heart.

1. Purposing - involves giving consideration, planning, deciding to give.
2. From the heart - involves feeling, emotion, sympathy, compassion, etc.

B. Not because we have to.

1. Not just a required duty.
2. Not because we are forced to give.

C. God loves cheerful giving.

III. The Results Of Giving.

A. Causes thanksgiving.

B. Supplies for needs.

C. God is glorified

Conclusion:

A. When We Give To Others, It Is Like Giving A Gift To God!

B. When We Do Not Give We Are Covetous (Proverbs 21: 25, 26).

C. What Are You Sowing? What Will You Reap?
