Introduction:

A. We Have Been Blessed!

1. With election by God.

2. With an eternal inheritance.

3. With the precious salvation.

B. We Are Prepared.

1. By having our mind focused.

2. By being obedient.

Body: 1 Peter 1: 17 - 21

I. If You Call on God.

A. Calling upon...

1. Acts 9: 14 - those who confessed their beliefs.
2. Acts 22: 16 - the good confession.

B. He judges us.

1. Without partiality.
2. According to our work - singular!
a. Each of us is leaving a "legacy."
b. We either work for God or for Satan.

II. Your Conduct.

A. Fear God.

1. Greek word phobos = be alarmed, afraid, terrified (root of phobia).
2. Not redeemed with corruptible things.

B. Redeemed from aimless conduct.

C. Redeemed by blood of Jesus.

1. He was a sacrificial lamb.
2. He was without spot or blemish.
3. His work was known before the world.

III. What God Accomplished.

A. Manifested so we might believe.

B. God raised Him from the dead..

C. God glorified Him.

IV. Our Response?

A. Our faith is in God.

B. Our hope is in God.

Conclusion:

A. Are You Calling Upon God?

1. Do you confess your allegiance?

2. Are you working for Him?

3. Do you fear Him?

B. What Does Your Life Answer?
